About The Position

Care provided in a 4-bedroom, homelike setting. This role does not require restraints or restraint certification, nor intensive nursing cares or transfers. The job involves having fun, participating in large group activities, enjoying the outdoors, and going on community outings. A good work-life balance is offered with a schedule of 3 nights per week (6p-8a), which includes paid sleep time and full-time benefits. The company is well-established with opportunities for advancement. The schedules are designed to complement job sharing, college classes, and can serve as a great second job, potentially decreasing daycare needs/costs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal assistance, support, direction, care, and supervision to up to (4) clients in a smaller home-like environment.
  • Perform household tasks; cleaning, basic home related chores and assigned client care tasks throughout each shift.
  • Perform charting and documentation, medication assistance and monitoring for symptoms.
  • Prepare and serve (3) meals daily according to company menu.
  • Prepare and submit food and supply order lists weekly.
  • Assist and supervise clients in learning Independent Living Skills.
  • Assist and direct clients in Activities of Daily Living.
  • Plan and participate in activities, plan weekly outings and crafts with clients in the home.
  • Work with the supervisory team to ensure compliance, safety and cleanliness in the home.
  • Work as a team with other direct care staff and supervisors.
