About The Position

Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive, 24-hour support for youth aged 7 to 17, who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. In a structured, therapeutic environment, we combine clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma-informed care to help youth heal, grow and build a brighter future. The RTC features dormitories, an accredited K-12 school, food services, 24/7 on-site nursing, and specialized therapy and clinical services. Direct Care Professionals (DCP) provide direct supervision and assist the day-to-day schedule for campus individuals.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED required
Six (6) weeks of behavioral health work experience required
Ability to attend full time new hire orientation Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm (paid)
Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment
Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred

Responsibilities

Helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de-escalating crisis situations, treatment plan implementation
Personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, and fostering social skills
Documenting progress for daily, weekly, and monthly logs, adhering to the activity schedule, and attending weekly clinical supervision meetings
Assisting with the planning and implementation of enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, culinary arts, various athletics (basketball, soccer, swimming), and adult-transition prep!
