Direct Care Assistant-Night Shift-Center for Autism
About The Position
Join our team and help create life-changing experiences for clients ages 7-22 with autism. We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide care for clients with intellectual disabilities and autism. This role involves assisting students in their daily routines and maintaining a clean living environment. Our mission is to promote independence through educational, residential, and community services for individuals with developmental disabilities, continuing a 100-year legacy of service. Our vision is to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through caring, goal-oriented service delivered by dedicated staff in a safe, warm learning environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Able to pass drug screen and background checks (no felonies, no abuse, assault, or neglect convictions)
- Dependable- a consistent routine is important for our clients
Nice To Haves
- Some background with developmental disabilities is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who shows genuine interest and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Caring for clients with intellectual disabilities and autism
- Following a nightly cleaning checklist
- Assisting students in waking and preparing for the day
