About The Position

Looking for a role where your work truly matters? Join RTR and support individuals with developmental disabilities in living more independently and confidently at home and in their community. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to provide hands-on care, guidance, and support that makes a real difference every day. This is an active, hands-on role supporting individuals both in the home and out in the community. Responsibilities may include physical care, behavioral support (including trained interventions), and maintaining the home environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet
Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration
Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community
Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

Responsibilities

Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, hygiene, and routines
Provide hands-on personal care and mobility assistance as needed
Assist with and attend medical appointments and community activities
Implement individualized support and behavioral plans
Administer medications in accordance with established procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment
Provide transportation as required
Complete documentation and progress reports
Collaborate with team members, families, and care providers
Serve as a positive role model and advocate for those you support
