Requirements

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, disability management, and service delivery models
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., ADA, disability programs)
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills
  • Experience with budgeting, financial performance, and resource management
  • Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvement
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement innovative solutions
  • Master's Degree Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field
  • 10 or more years of vocational rehabilitation experience
  • 5 years management experience.
  • CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) certificate
  • Demonstrated experience in case management
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Leads oversight of vocational rehabilitation services, including development and execution of return-to-work strategies, employability assessments, and job accommodation planning.
  • Tracks external market trends and competitor activity to continuously evolve ADA services and offerings.
  • Directs the administration and continuous improvement of ADA accommodation programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and evolving market needs.
  • Provides oversight to teams responsible for the evaluation of complex disability and accommodation scenarios and provide guidance on reasonable accommodations, return-to-work pathways, and functional capacity considerations.
  • Establishes and maintains best practices for vocational rehabilitation and ADA policies, including documentation standards, workflows, and service delivery models.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Claims, and Operations) to ensure consistent and compliant application of ADA and vocational rehabilitation practices.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to sales and account teams on vocational and ADA-related offerings, supporting client education, solution design, and retention strategies.
  • Oversee the development of innovative accommodation and rehabilitation solutions to meet evolving client needs and regulatory expectations.
  • Monitors regulatory developments related to ADA, disability management, and rehabilitation services, ensuring timely updates to policies, procedures, and training.
  • Drives quality and performance outcomes related to vocational rehabilitation and accommodation services, including return-to-work success, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Creates and maintains budgets and manages expenses related to accommodation and rehabilitation services
  • Leads capability development for internal teams on ADA compliance, reasonable accommodations, and vocational rehabilitation practices.
  • Supports resolution of complex client and employee accommodation issues, including escalations, complaints, and risk mitigation.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
