About The Position

The Technology Talent Development (TTD) team sits within Technology Chief Operating Officer (TCOO) division. The mission of TCOO function is to enable the Tech division to achieve outstanding results by delivering world class programs supporting their teams and strategic objectives. TCOO provides centralized services for Governance oversight, Talent Development, Workforce Strategy planning and implementation, and effective Communication and Team Engagement. TTD Department offers Junior Talent Development, Continuous Learning and Career Enablement programming with associated operational and reporting support for the 17K+ Tech employees. We strategically direct and foster world class learning culture enabling Morgan Stanley Tech members to be their best. Initiatives managed by the team include Tech Intern and Analyst Programs, Tech Strategy and Core Technical Skills Training, Tech New Hire Training program, Mobility and Mentorship programs, Professional Skills and Business Knowledge Training, Training Operations and Reporting and associated supporting tooling, among others. Our team of 25, located across the globe, also partner closely with Firmwide HR on a variety of Talent initiatives. This role is vital, cornerstone of TTD team. Will serve as 1) Stakeholder Mgmt and Governance - in partnership with the learning partners, support interactions and comms with stakeholder groups including Tech Learning Advisory Council, Distinguished Engineers, CIO / Divisional leadership, Regional leadership. Responsibilities include message development, document preparation, attending meetings with stakeholders and ongoing 1:1 comms 2) Marketing and Comms - design and implement internal marketing campaigns to promote TTD offerings across Tech; manage team Jive site; liaise with TCOO comms team for execution. This individual will report to the Head of Tech People, Development Marketing, and Comms VP. Candidate should be curious self-starter with positive attitude who can navigate broader org with strong collaboration, program / project mgmt, comms and leadership skills and comfort working independently at all levels. With regularity, candidate will produce presentations for CIOs and other senior mgmt groups that require strong verbal and written presentation/storytelling experience and skills. Candidate should be passionate about people development and leading continuous, innovative improvements in the same. Role has global remit and will work closely with globally distributed team. What you'll do in the role: Support the mgmt and execution of various governance bodies that direct the TTD strategy. The Tech Learning Advisory Council meets periodically to set direction, review strategy and plan, remove blockers and provide resources, subject matter experts. Additional governing bodies may be established based on programs and people development needs >Proactively promote to CIOs, Tech divisional leadership, CAOs and Chiefs of Staff updates on learning & development strategy, programs and marketing materials that enable them to maximize the development of their teams, to contribute to a learning culture, and to increase team enjoyment and retention >Curate, co-create, and manage distribution of branded weekly and monthly newsletters, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging, audience engagement goals and cross-functional collaboration >Provide support and oversight of the TTD Jive site and other marketing materials - critical components of our TTD comms and engagement strategy. Create Jive sites / pages, as needed, in support of learning and development initiatives >Develop and execute marketing campaigns including email, posters, Jive site updates and other comms channels. Partner with TCOO Comms team in execution of comms >Partner with GC & regional COO teams to ensure awareness of central-driven programs, availability of marketing collateral and sharing of best practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in supporting governance processes with senior executives.
  • 7+ years of experience creating management level communication and presentation documents.
  • 7+ years creating and executing marketing campaigns within a global organization.
  • A proven influencer with strong interpersonal skills, able to interact at all levels to drive successful outcomes in line with management priorities
  • Track record of integrity, grit, courage, flexibility, fortitude, positivity, and compassion
  • Comfortable working as a trusted member of a global organization with team members, stakeholders, upper management, and clients in different regions across Asia, EMEA and North America
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable creativity with regards to design and implementation of marketing, communications and presentation materials
  • Strong collaboration skills and excellence orientation
  • Strong project management and organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize; Agile methodology / scrum master skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, judgment and thoughtful decision making
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Open-minded, independent, problem-solving, and highly motivated team player
