About The Position

Responsible for complying with Performance Food Group’s policies, procedures, and standards governing the privacy, confidentiality, and security of all protected health information and electronic protected health information, as well as the Security Standards for the Protection of Electronic Protected Health Information and the Standards for the Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information issued under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, and as amended. Performance Foodservice, PFG’s broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers — providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 4-6 years' experience in Human Resources or related area with supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6-10 years' experience in Human Resources and supervisory/management experience within foodservice industry.
  • Senior / Professional in Human Resources (S/PHR)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
  • Assist managers in staffing all vacancies.
  • Ensure all administrative items are completed according to established guidelines (i.e., I-9 forms, employment applications).
  • Assist in the training of management in application of policies and procedure.
  • Assess training needs within the company and coordinate delivery of appropriate information (i.e., computer skills, management skills, etc.)
  • Function as an associate advocate by representing associates’ issues to management as appropriate.
  • Work with management team in resolving associate issues by investigating concerns and sharing resolution alternatives.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures to include effective communications to associates.
  • Advise management of fair and consistent application of all approved policies and procedures.
  • Ensure benefits are explained to new associates and their enrollment is processed at appropriate time.
  • Ensure all company benefits are communicated and administered in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Oversee procedures and processes to maintain our compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations.
  • Work with Safety Committee and building maintenance team on compliance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
