Essential Job Functions Completes menu boards and ensures service staff is knowledgeable about the daily menu and any alternate choices. Supervises and assists servers in the preparation for meal service to include any pre-shift side work, cleanliness of dining room and proper place settings. Supervises and records any side work not completed. Observes residents being served recording any problems and/or deficiencies. Supervises activities or work areas including dining room and dishwashing room. Checks kitchen sanitation daily; dining room sanitation daily; supervises sanitation and housekeeping procedures in the dining room. Instructs employee in use, care and maintenance of equipment. Monitors meals with special attention to temperatures, timeliness of meal, production and serving sanitation practices and resident satisfaction. Will work closely with Director of Dining Services and Management team to improve the service given to the residents, guests, and employees of Lutheran Life Villages. Supervises and assists in the preparation for meal service to include any pre-shift side work and cleanliness of departmental area. Assists and fills in as needed. Coordinates any Dining Room need with the Chef and/or Director of Dining Services. Monitors kitchen sanitation, dining room sanitation, housekeeping process to ensure regulatory compliance; reports deficiencies to Director of Dining Services.
