About The Position

The Terrace is a skilled nursing facility that cares for older adults who need extra support. Some residents are there for short-term recovery after surgery or illness, while most live there long-term, including those with Alzheimer's or memory loss. This role is crucial in providing tasty, nutritional, and appealing food, which can be a highlight of residents' days. The position involves managing a team, menu planning, managing and ordering stock, adhering to IDPH regulations, and providing hands-on support in a busy commercial kitchen. The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is considered pivotal to the recovery and dietary needs of patients/residents.

Requirements

  • CDM - Certified Dietary Manager Certification
  • Prior experience as a CDM or Food Services Director in a medical facility or central kitchen is strongly preferred
  • Relevant ServSafe, sanitation & allergen certifications preferred
  • Culinary training highly desirable, but not required
