About The Position

The part-time (12 hours/week) position provides assistance in all dining services functions as directed and instructed in accordance with established dining services policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serving meals in dining rooms and delivering trays, as instructed and in accordance with established portions and dietary restrictions and guidelines
• Checking trays for appropriateness prior to distribution
• Assisting with daily scheduled cleaning duties including surfaces, refrigerators, freezers, and floors
• Preparing meal trays, food carts, dining rooms, etc. for meal service
• Distributing and collecting resident menus
• Delivering food service carts and trays to designated areas
• Performing dishwashing and cleaning procedures
• Preparing and delivering snacks
• Assisting in preparation, set-up, service, and clean-up for special events and parties
• Following established safety guidelines and providing a safety environment for residents and coworkers
• Ensuring residents' rights are protected
