About The Position

The Dining Services Aide supports the nutritional well-being of residents at Margaret E Moul Home, a nonprofit skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in York, Pennsylvania. The role is part of the Dietary Services team and includes meal-preparation support, food service, and cleaning in a healthcare setting. The aide ensures meals are delivered accurately, safely, and respectfully, including meals with texture modifications or special diets. The stated work shift is 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic understanding of food-safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Compassionate, dependable, and respectful toward individuals with disabilities.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in healthcare food service or hospitality is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing, portioning, and serving meals and snacks.
Deliver trays to residents’ rooms or dining areas according to schedule.
Ensure meal accuracy, including texture modifications and special diets.
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen equipment, and food-preparation areas.
Wash dishes, utensils, and other kitchen items using approved sanitation methods.
Replenish supplies in service areas and maintain proper food storage.
Follow infection-control and food-safety standards.
Provide respectful and dignified service to residents.
