About The Position

The Dietary Server at CarDon and Associates Corp helps ensure residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals that meet their dietary needs. The role includes engaging with residents to understand their preferences and dietary restrictions, providing attentive dining assistance, and maintaining sanitation and food-safety standards. The Dietary Server also collaborates with the dietary team to support meal preparation and timely service, contributing to residents’ well-being and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of food-safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively and engage with diverse resident populations.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or food items.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in dietary services or food services in a healthcare or senior-living environment.
• Certification in food handling or sanitation.
• Experience supporting or developing team members through training or mentorship.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and address resident dietary needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents according to prescribed dietary plans and preferences.
• Engage with residents to understand their needs and provide personalized dining assistance.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining and food-service areas.
• Set up and break down dining areas, ensuring equipment and utensils are properly sanitized.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to support meal preparation and inventory management.
• Promptly report resident concerns or dietary issues to the supervisory team.
