About The Position

The Piper, an elegant senior living community in Kansas City, is seeking a Part-Time Dining Server for consistent evening shifts. This role involves serving evening meals with warmth and professionalism to residents, greeting and assisting them throughout their dining experience, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. The position offers short, three-hour shifts, concluding before 7:00 PM, making it ideal for students, retirees, or individuals seeking light, meaningful part-time work. The primary responsibility is to ensure residents and guests have a positive dining experience by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
Must pay attention to detail.
Must be flexible/adaptable.
Must have safety awareness.
Must be a team player.
Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Responsibilities

Serve evening meals with warmth, care, and professionalism to residents.
Greet and assist residents and guests throughout the dining experience.
Maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment throughout service.
Be a dependable, friendly presence that makes every dinner feel special.
Greet and seat residents and guests in a timely and professional manner.
Approach and interact with residents and guests in a friendly, service-oriented, and professional manner.
Serve food in an efficient and professional manner.
Clear tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, etc. when residents and guests have finished a course or their meal according to Company protocol.
Maintain a clean dining room, ensuring chairs, windows, floors, and all work areas are wiped down and sanitized after every meal period.
Deliver and retrieve trays to and from residents’ apartments as needed.
Label and date all food.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
