About The Position

Here at Park Place of Elmhurst, we offer a continuum of care with the security of lifecare. Our residents also have access to assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support right on campus. We are seeking hardworking professional Full-Time Servers. Park Place of Elmhurst is a member of the Providence Life Services family where we are enhancing the lives of those we serve!

Requirements

Medium amount physically demanding work.
Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and successfully complete a reference check.
Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
Must possess Food Handler Certification or Serve Safe Certification or obtain same within 90 days of hire. Certification must remain current throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

Food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
Assist in meal set up, in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as with our established policies and procedures.
Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
Serve meals that are attractive in appearance; and using established portion control procedures.
Clean equipment, sweep floors, clear and carry soiled dishware to wash areas, return clean dishware to proper storage areas, wash and clean dishware or pots & pans as needed.
Assist cook in preparing meals when needed, and deliver food trays to designated areas.
Keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies.
Attend and participate in department meetings and in-service training.
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department.
