About The Position
Allegro Fort Lauderdale is hiring a Part-Time Dining Server for evening meal service in one of South Florida's premier senior living communities. This role offers consistent weeknight hours and every other weekend, providing a predictable schedule that concludes before the evening begins. The primary responsibility of the Server is to accommodate residents and guests during their dining experience by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner. The dining experience is a daily highlight for residents in this large, vibrant property.
Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Dependable and punctual
- Every other weekend availability required
- Must pay attention to detail
- Must be flexible/adaptable
- Must have safety awareness
- Must be a team player
- Must have positive Criminal Background Screening
- Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an ALF, restaurant, or hotel setting
- Food serving experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve evening meals with warmth, care, and professionalism
- Greet and assist residents and guests throughout the dining experience
- Maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment throughout service
- Deliver and retrieve trays as needed
- Be a dependable, friendly presence that makes every dinner feel special
- Greet and seat residents and guests in a timely and professional manner
- Approach and interact with residents and guests in a friendly, service-oriented, and professional manner
- Serve food in an efficient and professional manner
- Clear tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, etc. when residents and guests have finished a course or their meal according to Company protocol
- Maintain a clean dining room. Chairs, windows, floors, and all work areas should be wiped down and sanitized after every meal period
- Deliver and retrieve trays to and from residents’ apartments as needed
- Label and date all food
- Other job duties as assigned
