About The Position
The primary purpose of the server position is to inform the residents of the menu selections for the day and professionally present and serve resident meals with a high level of customer service to their satisfaction. This position also requires staff to ensure the dining room is clean and welcoming as may be directed by supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in dining service desired.
- Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations helpful
- Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Responsibilities
- Greets and informs residents of available menu selections
- Report pertinent resident information to the immediate supervisor and respond positively to resident inquiries or requests
- Position requires daily social interaction with memory care residents, ability, to conduct specialized programming as well
- Cleans tables at the end of meal and sets the tables for next meal seating
- Vacuums carpet in dining room after each meal
