About The Position

The Dining Room Supervisor will help lead daily dining room operations while supporting a welcoming, organized, and resident-focused dining experience. This position assists with supervising waitstaff teammates, coordinating dining room service, supporting resident and guest needs, and ensuring meals are served in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner. All duties should be performed in a manner that enhances a fine dining atmosphere while supporting facility goals, standards, and current regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food service, dining room, hospitality, or senior living experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices preferred.
  • Previous experience in a fine dining establishment, senior living community, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Prior experience training, coaching, or supervising dining room or food service teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support dining room waitstaff teammates during meal service, special events, and assigned dining programs.
  • Assist with scheduling, assigning duties, training new teammates, and helping ensure service expectations are met.
  • Greet residents, guests, and staff members and help maintain a warm, professional, and efficient dining room atmosphere.
  • Oversee table set-up, dining room readiness, and cleanliness standards for meals, meetings, parties, and special events.
  • Monitor meal service to ensure orders, beverages, and resident needs are handled accurately and promptly.
  • Check the quality of final servings, address concerns appropriately, and communicate service issues to dining leadership as needed.
  • Support teammates with serving, clearing tables, dishwashing, detail cleaning, and other service tasks when needed.
  • Assist with assembling and delivering meals to Assisted Living, resident apartments, and to-go orders as needed.
  • Ensure meal tickets are gathered, completed accurately, and delivered to the Cook with all required information.
  • Help maintain compliance with cleanliness, safety, customer service, and facility standards.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
