About The Position

The Residence at Great Woods is hiring a Dining Room Supervisor. This role involves overseeing the dining experience for residents, ensuring satisfaction, and promoting the mission and values of the organization. The supervisor will play an active role in community occupancy growth by positively representing the community to potential residents and their families. The position requires supervision of dining room staff, meal service, and maintaining dining room standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years in the food service field.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Current ServSafe certificate.
  • Knowledge of culinary service environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally.
  • Experience with buffet catering.
  • Working knowledge of all kitchen equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a reputable course in food management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
  • Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
  • Oversee the service of meals to residents in the dining room, function rooms and other designated areas.
  • Oversee the cleanliness, preparation, training and staffing of the dining room.
  • Assist the Culinary Services Director to assure efficient operation of the culinary service department.
  • Communicate with the Executive Director and culinary team, and attend meetings as requested.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of sick trays and room trays.
  • Maintain the proper order of service for all meals.
  • Assist with table service as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling associates, planning events and ordering supplies.
  • Interview, hire, counsel and terminate dining room personnel.
  • Conduct and monitor orientation and ongoing training with Food Servers.
  • Monitor the maintenance, printing and distribution of daily menus.
  • Ensure the dining room is ready for service according to LCB standards.
  • Ensure resident needs are anticipated and met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all dining staff comply with company uniform policy.
  • Greet residents during dinner and supper service.
  • Assist residents to tables and fulfill seating needs.
  • Assist dining room staff with pre-bussing and dessert service.
  • Assist dining room staff in clearing and resetting the dining room.
  • Monitor and maintain inventories of items in the dining room and communicate needs for replenishment.
  • Supervise and secure the closing of the dining area.
