Dining Room Server
About The Position
The Dining Room Server provides prompt, polite, and professional service to residents. This role involves setting up dining room tables, refilling condiments, delivering room service orders, and assisting with minor preparation and sidework. The server also supports residents and team members with various service needs, participates in training, and resolves care coordination issues. Additionally, the server is responsible for clearing and cleaning tables and chairs, performing daily cleaning duties, and presenting a professional demeanor that reflects the company's service philosophy. The role also includes ensuring clean dishes by bussing tables and washing dishes, as well as preparing dining areas and kitchen stations for the next shift. This includes cleaning machines and appliances, and sweeping and mopping floors. The server will also support other restaurant staff members as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, polite and professional service to residents.
- Sets up dining room tables with all utensils, chinaware, eating silverware and glassware.
- Refills sugars, salt, pepper, creamers and butter dishes after each meal.
- Sets up delivery and delivers daily room service orders when applicable.
- Sets up and replenishes all other beverage and service station items.
- Assists team with minor preparation, sidework.
- Assists residents and other team members with beverages, salads soup, dessert and all other service needs.
- Participates in all required training, orientation, meetings and programs offered by employer.
- Promptly discusses and resolves any potential care coordination problems with all involved team members and team leaders.
- Clears tables within assigned work section.
- Cleans and wipes down tables and chairs after residents leave dining room.
- Performs daily side cleaning duties as scheduled and requested.
- Spot sweeps floor in dining room after each meal.
- Presents a professional demeanor that communicates to current and prospective residents the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in the resident’s unique needs.
- Ensures the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and resetting dining areas.
- Prepares dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
- Cleans machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers, etc.
- Sweeps and mops floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
- Supports other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
