The Dining Room Server is the face of the hospitality venues, responsible for ensuring residents have a satisfying dining experience. This role involves serving food and beverages in a restaurant-style atmosphere, maintaining table cleanliness, and providing exceptional customer care. The team at Plymouth Place™ prioritizes safety and well-being, with vaccinated staff and residents. The Server serves meals to Plymouth Place residents in a restaurant-style setting, striving for efficiency and appetizing food presentation. Flexibility is required as assigned stations and duties may change before, during, and after meal service. Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement is 16 years old.
  • Strong communication skills required both oral and written.
  • Ability to multi-task with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Dependable, reliable and motivated.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a food server role, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently serve food and beverages to tables for restaurant style service.
  • Handles all service ware correctly.
  • Accurately provide information about the meal presented, offering suggestions and answering questions upon request.
  • Observes diners to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when a meal has been completed by staying in the assigned area and circulating throughout the dining room.
  • Removes dishes both during and after the meal efficiently to ensure sanitation standards are met.
  • Wash and set-up tables according to rules of etiquette, including clean linen, silverware, and glassware.
  • Check the cleanliness of chairs and all condiments.
  • Restock supplies as needed prior to the next meal service.
  • Willingly initiates cross-training, specifically in the areas of host/hostess and serving, to aid in growth and improve skills.
  • Completes all side work efficiently before, during, and after meal service.
  • Clean and sanitize department storage, refrigeration/freezer, equipment, utensils, waste containers, etc., as assigned by the manager on duty and/or in compliance with the cleaning list.
  • Routinely checks and is aware of daily caterings and participates in set-up, carry-through, and clean-up.
  • Understands how to properly use the P.O.S. and is confident and efficient with charging guests.
  • Deliver food to the resident ensuring a quality dining experience through the entire process.
  • Take down dining areas and clean tables, stock ingredients, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Clean food stations and other areas as required.
