Requirements
- Must maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
- Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Have the ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Position requires empathy for the elderly.
- Have the ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
- Have at least a High School diploma/GED preferred.
- Have a minimum of three (3) months previous experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
- Able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday.
- Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. independently.
- Able to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday.
- May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals and offensive odors.

Responsibilities
- Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
- Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
- Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
- Answers pertinent questions about menu items.
- Assists with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes, if needed.
- Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests.
- Advises the Restaurant Manager regarding dining room status.
- Set up all catering events and clean up after all catering events.
- Completes all assigned cleaning tasks.
- Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Abides by all Carillon policies and procedures relating to HIPAA.
