About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Dining Room Server responsible for taking customer orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in accordance with company standards. The role requires a high level of customer service, including imparting warmth and graciousness, checking on guests during their meal, and being knowledgeable about menu items. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness of work areas and equipment, completing side work, using suggestive selling techniques, and handling customer complaints by referring them to a supervisor. The server will also assist the food and beverage manager and restaurant manager with various tasks, maintain good working relationships with staff, and manage billing and payment processes using a point-of-sale (POS) system. This includes preparing and presenting bills, processing cash and charge payments, and reconciling shift totals. The role also involves assisting with company promotions as needed.

Requirements

  • Able to work 6am- 11am shifts
  • Ability to stand for 8 hrs length of time
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to bend frequently during a shift
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English

Responsibilities

  • Take all orders from customers for F&B.
  • Serve guests in accordance with company standards.
  • Impart to the customer warmth and graciousness, much as you would give a guest in your own home.
  • Inquire throughout the course of the customer's meal if the food, service, and dining atmosphere are to his / her satisfaction.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with menu items and related materials.
  • Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.
  • Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly.
  • Use the suggestive selling method for building check averages.
  • Refer any complains to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Undertake all reasonable tasks requested by the food and beverage manager, restaurant manager to host / hostess.
  • Maintain a good working liaison with all other members of the staff.
  • Prepare and present bills to customers for payment using the point of sales system (POS).
  • Obtain settlement from customers, either cash or charge and settle bills using POS system.
  • Produce at the end of each shift, reconciliation of cash and charge bills.
  • Consciously assist in all company promotions when required.
