About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist servers in providing efficient service to dining guests and maintaining the dining room. This role involves ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction through courteous service and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. The Server Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dining Room Supervisor or Dining Room Manager.

Requirements

A high school education or equivalent is required.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Basic knowledge of sanitation requirements.
Ability to work in a positive team environment.
Ability to manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of six months restaurant or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides exceptional service to guests and other customers in a courteous manner.
Clears, cleans and resets tables after guests have completed their meals.
Completes assigned side work including restocking workstations, cleaning tables and ice cream station and floor maintenance.
Assists in loading dishwashers, inspecting dishes, glasses and flatware for cleanliness and accurately sorting all items.
Empties trash and removes from dining room or kitchen.
Ensures that all tables and chairs are correctly placed.
Maintains a clean work environment in the dining room to increase guest satisfaction and maintain defined sanitation guidelines.
Reports any guest complaints or concerns to immediate supervisor or manager for resolution.
Notifies supervisor or manager of situations that may affect guests, associates of the Lake or the Torches Resort Casino.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Attends all mandatory meetings and participates in departmental training and development sessions.
