About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to join our team at Rushwood located in Wichita, KS. This is a full-time position with a shift schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. The Dining Room Manager is responsible for ensuring the dining room is presentable and that residents receive impeccable service. This role involves greeting residents, fostering a welcoming environment, preparing tables and meals, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and communicating with supervisors and Wellness regarding resident dietary habits or changes in appetite. The ideal candidate will be at least eighteen years old, have previous experience leading a hospitality team, knowledge of resident care requirements, a food server permit, strong English communication skills, a positive and energetic attitude, and the physical capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds. The candidate must also be able to assist residents with mobility and be criminally cleared and in good health, as verified by a physician's screening.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
- Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
- Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
- Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
- Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
- Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

- Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
