About The Position
At Main Event, Dining Hosts guide Guests through their experience in the dining rooms and support the overall experience in the dining room and bar area. The role includes greeting and seating Guests, communicating with servers, server assistants, and managers, and upholding high standards of safety and sanitation. Hosts may perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties and must be available to work days, nights, and/or weekends.
Requirements
- Prior food and beverage experience is a plus but is not required.
- Guest-focused mindset.
- Teamwork skills.
- Food Handlers Certification, as required.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, team members, and Guests.
- Attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work days, nights, and/or weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Prior food and beverage experience.
Responsibilities
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
- Welcome and greet dining Guests and gather details about their visit.
- Manage tables and keep the waitlist updated.
- Seat Guests or hand them off to another host.
- Communicate with servers and Guests, including through table touches, to support a seamless experience.
- Thank Guests for visiting and welcome them back.
- Perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties.
