About The Position

At Main Event, Dining Hosts guide Guests through their dining experience and support the overall experience of the dining room and bar area. The role greets and seats guests, communicates with servers, server assistants, and managers, and helps maintain high standards for safety and sanitation. Hosts may perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties.

Requirements

• A guest-focused mindset.
• Teamwork skills.
• Food Handlers Certification, as required.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, team members, and guests.
• Attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work days, nights, and/or weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Prior food and beverage experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Welcome and greet dining guests and gather details about their visit.
• Manage tables and keep the waitlist updated.
• Seat guests or hand them off to another host.
• Communicate with servers and guests, including through table touches, to ensure a seamless experience.
• Thank guests for coming and welcome them back.
• Perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties.
