Dietary Aide, Dining Assistant, Casual Scheduled, 2nd Shift
About The Position
This position is for a casual scheduled Dining Assistant / Dietary Aide to work the 2nd shift (3:30 pm to 7:30 pm), Sunday through Wednesday. The role involves providing healthy and homemade meals within a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Buffalo, NY. The Dining Assistant is responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering food according to established policies and procedures, as well as cleaning food service areas and equipment, and ensuring proper storage of food and other dining supplies. Employees in all departments work collaboratively to support the religious life of the sisters by contributing to a warm and caring convent environment, engaging in quality interpersonal experiences and meaningful interactions daily, and maintaining strong teamwork and partnerships across departments.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of food service or restaurant experience
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Working in a commercial or institutional food service environment is a PLUS
- Experience in an Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, hospital or other healthcare environment is preferred but not required
- SERV Safe certification preferred
