About The Position

Pratt & Whitney’s Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) in Springdale, Arkansas, is seeking a first-shift Dimensional Inspector for Building 1. The organization provides specialized repair capabilities for gas turbine engine cases and components. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Dimensional Inspector processes and inspects a variety of engine cases to determine and verify conformity with work specifications. The role uses prints, work instructions, layouts, gauges, calipers, and other measuring equipment. It performs visual and dimensional inspections at receiving, in-process, and final stages, documents discrepancies, and works with engineering specifications, industry standards, repair manuals, and customer requirements.

This is an onsite, safety-sensitive position at an FAA-regulated facility. U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program/contract. Candidates are subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and ongoing random testing in accordance with FAA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with engineering specifications, industry standards, repair manuals, and customer requirements.
• Experience in aerospace or a related industry.

Responsibilities

• Process and inspect a variety of engine cases to determine and verify conformance to work specifications.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections during receiving, in-process, and final inspection stages.
• Report discrepancies found during inspection.
• Work with engineering specifications, industry standards, repair manuals, and customer requirements.
• Use scribes, verniers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, micrometers, indicators, and other measuring equipment.
