About The Position

Role Mission Build, sustain, and continuously improve coordinate metrology programs that verify high-precision aerospace components meet customer, industry, and regulatory standards. Core Outcomes Create and maintain CMM programs that deliver reliable measurements for complex, tight-tolerance parts. Translate GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and model-based definitions into efficient probing strategies and alignments. Execute first article, in-process, and final inspections; generate complete, audit-ready documentation. Analyze data, trend results, and communicate risks and recommended actions. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for nonconforming product. Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to refine inspection methods and throughput. Own the calibration/verification status of CMM equipment and associated fixtures/tooling. Participate in internal and customer audits; uphold AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years programming and operating CMMs in a machining environment.
  • Proven track record inspecting aerospace components with tight tolerances.
  • Expert reading of complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
  • High attention to detail and rigorous documentation habits.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace manufacturing background.
  • Experience preparing FAIRs and working to customer quality flowdowns.
  • CNC machining or manufacturing engineering exposure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize CMM routines for speed and capability.
