Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Detail oriented, effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, learn new skills and technologies, multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to start and complete projects with minimal supervision or oversight.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in Computer Aided Design (CAD), Metrology or related.
  • 1 year of technical, automotive or related experience.
  • Strong math skills and a good understanding of geometry.
  • Knowledge of automotive components.
  • Ability to navigate and understand CATIA, Teamcenter and PolyWorks software.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and maintain component dimensional analysis equipment and measurements.
  • Provide analysis reports to engineers.
  • Be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.
  • Assist in measuring hard points and 3D laser scan data for individual components and complete vehicles using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) arm.
  • Set-up and tear down of components and vehicles on dimensional surface plates.
  • Perform regularly scheduled calibration checks and maintenance of CMM equipment.
  • Participate in interpreting technical dimensional documents.
  • Prepare technical dimensional analysis results in various format for distribution.
  • Participate in daily surface plates clean-up in preparation of upcoming projects.
