About The Position

Saratech is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Digital Thread Architect to join our Engineering Excellence team. The ideal candidate combines enterprise solution architecture, Digital Thread strategy, technical delivery leadership, customer consulting, systems integration, and engineering process expertise. This role focuses on shaping and delivering Digital Thread strategies that connect Siemens Teamcenter, CAD, manufacturing execution, ERP, quality, supplier, laboratory, and other enterprise systems. The architect will assess customer objectives and technology landscapes, define future-state architectures, establish phased transformation roadmaps, and guide the configuration, integration, governance, and adoption needed to realize measurable business outcomes. The successful candidate will work directly with customer executives, engineering and IT leaders, new prospects, sales teams, project managers, solution consultants, developers, and technical resources. The architect will lead discovery, assess organizational and technical readiness, facilitate roadmap and architecture decisions, and maintain technical direction throughout delivery. This role is well suited for an individual who can connect business strategy to executable technical plans, guide cross-functional teams through complex decisions, and build trusted relationships that lead to sustained customer value and additional services business.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience across enterprise solution architecture, Digital Thread or PLM transformation, technical consulting, systems integration, engineering or manufacturing processes, and complex services delivery.
Demonstrated experience defining Digital Thread, PLM, or connected engineering and manufacturing strategies, target architectures, and multi-phase transformation roadmaps.
Experience with Siemens Teamcenter or comparable enterprise PLM platforms, including product data, change, configuration, requirements, manufacturing, supplier, or quality capabilities.
Experience defining integrations and information flows across PLM, CAD, MES, ERP, production, quality, supplier, laboratory, analytics, or related enterprise systems.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, capability mapping, process and information modeling, integration patterns, data governance, technical-debt management, and phased transformation planning.
Working knowledge of regulated engineering and manufacturing environments, including relevant quality, validation, traceability, and compliance considerations.
Experience translating customer use cases and business requirements into solution configurations, technical documentation, validation criteria, and implementation scope.
Working knowledge of data analysis, reporting, database design, and automation using one or more of Python, SQL, R, VBA, XML/XSL, Java, APIs, JSON, or CSV.
Experience providing technical management for services delivery, including coordinating technical teams, managing architecture decisions and dependencies, reviewing deliverables, and resolving delivery risks or escalations.
Experience supporting business development through prospect discovery, solution positioning, scope definition, estimation, proposal development, and presentations to customer stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, facilitation, documentation, troubleshooting, executive communication, customer-facing consulting, and technical leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Data Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
Enterprise architecture, systems engineering, program leadership, or comparable transformation certification.
Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter architecture, configuration, integration, deployment, or enterprise implementation.
Experience developing and governing technology roadmaps, reference architectures, capability portfolios, or enterprise transformation programs.
Experience with statistical and analytical tools such as Minitab, MATLAB, Mathcad, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PySpark, or visualization libraries.
Experience developing production, test, quality, supplier, calibration, or training databases and automated reports.
Experience leading cross-functional or international teams and facilitating customer process decisions.
Prior consulting, solution architecture, technical lead, project engineering, or project management experience.
Experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, space, medical, industrial equipment, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Lead executive and stakeholder discovery to clarify business outcomes, transformation priorities, operating constraints, and the role of the Digital Thread in the customer's broader technology strategy.
Assess current-state processes, applications, data flows, integrations, governance, and organizational readiness; define future-state Digital Thread capabilities and a sequenced, value-based transformation roadmap.
Define end-to-end solution architectures that connect PLM, CAD, requirements, manufacturing, quality, ERP, supplier, service, and analytics platforms across the product lifecycle.
Facilitate executive, business, and technical workshops; reconcile competing priorities; communicate architectural tradeoffs; and guide stakeholders toward scalable, supportable decisions.
Develop capability maps, reference architectures, process and information models, technology evaluations, integration strategies, governance models, decision records, and phased implementation plans.
Establish architecture principles, technical standards, acceptance criteria, and review gates that keep delivery aligned with the approved roadmap, target architecture, and expected business outcomes.
Engage with new and existing customers during pre-sales discovery to understand business drivers, identify service opportunities, shape solution strategy, and support the development of compelling proposals, estimates, statements of work, and implementation plans.
Provide technical management throughout delivery by establishing the solution direction, coordinating technical workstreams, managing design decisions and dependencies, reviewing deliverable quality, resolving escalations, and maintaining alignment with approved scope, schedule, validation expectations, and customer outcomes.
Define enterprise information, master-data, governance, reporting, and analytics strategies that support traceability and decision-making across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supplier, and service domains.
Prioritize capabilities and initiatives based on business value, technical dependencies, delivery risk, organizational readiness, and total cost of ownership; adjust roadmaps as customer needs and constraints evolve.
Develop or guide automation and analytical components using Python, SQL, R, VBA, XML/XSL, Java, APIs, JSON, CSV, and enterprise databases where appropriate.
Resolve complex architecture, data, interoperability, configuration, and delivery issues; lead technical escalations and drive decisions across customer and delivery teams.
Mentor architects, consultants, and technical resources; strengthen architecture and delivery practices; and develop reusable roadmaps, reference patterns, methods, training, and best-practice guidance for Saratech Digital Thread offerings.
Partner with sales and account teams to develop trusted relationships with new prospects, communicate the business value of Saratech services, and identify follow-on opportunities that expand customer adoption.
Serve as the technical point of accountability for assigned engagements, providing clear direction to delivery teams and transparent communication to customer stakeholders and Saratech leadership.
Stay current with Siemens Digital Industries Software, Teamcenter Quality, quality standards, manufacturing technology, and data analytics practices.
