Strategic Business Operations is seeking a Material Lead to support digital and infrastructure programs with expanded responsibilities across procurement, logistics, and financial execution. This role blends traditional Material Lead financial stewardship with stronger supply‑chain and logistics execution. The Material Lead will help define and stand up a new receiving/logistics capability while driving all procurement and material flow activities. Although remote, this role requires someone who understands how receiving material handling, and supply‑chain processes should operate and can lead onsite partners through direction, standards, and issue resolution. The scope evolves quickly, and the ideal candidate is comfortable making decisions independently and working across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience in procurement, PR/PO workflows, supply‑chain execution, and material tracking/receiving.
  • Financial acumen experience, including budgeting, AOP/EAC support, and cost/price analysis.
  • Experience leading logistics/receiving operations remotely; independent decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience standing up or leading logistics and receiving operations.
  • Experience working with Supply Chain, Finance, and Logistics partners.
  • Knowledge of AOP, AR, PR/PO processes and enterprise systems (SAP/PRISM).
  • Familiarity with digital infrastructure programs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead material procurement, pricing comparisons, supplier engagement, and risk identification.
  • Partner with ES Procurement to ensure accurate PR/PO packages and timely execution.
  • Establish and guide receiving/logistics workflows, defining intake, staging, and material flow processes.
  • Provide remote operational direction to onsite teams; troubleshoot and resolve material issues as needed.
  • Own AOP/EAC material inputs and track capital/expense budgets in partnership with DPLs and Finance.
  • Support financial reviews, material tracking, capital request activities (AR/ECAR), and schedule alignment.
  • Coordinate across DT, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and program teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Identify process improvements and drive efficiencies across procurement and material flow.
