About The Position

MOVE Texas is seeking a digital strategy partner to help build and execute a robust digital plan through the 2026 election. This engagement aims to set clear goals, strengthen the internal Communications team's capacity, and integrate digital strategy with the organization's narrative and cultural organizing work. The goal is to ensure MOVE Texas's digital presence is aligned with its base and effectively supports its mission of mobilizing, organizing, and empowering underrepresented youth communities through civic engagement, leadership development, and issue advocacy.

Requirements

  • Established experience with movement organizations, campaigns, or nonprofits.
  • Demonstrated track record of building internal client capacity.
  • Understanding of paid, owned, and earned digital strategy across a full election cycle.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and integrate with existing narrative and cultural content creation.
  • Ability to translate strategy into training and documentation that a small internal team can sustain.
  • Proposal must include a background of the firm, examples of similar engagements, justification for being the best partner, an overview of the approach to strategy development and capacity building, proposed team and roles, and pricing structure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with corporate/commercial clients is not the primary focus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a digital strategy and plan defining channel strategy across owned, earned, and paid media through the 2026 election and early 2027 legislative planning.
  • Define goals and KPIs tied to organizational priorities (voter engagement, base growth, campaign visibility).
  • Create a measurement framework and reporting cadence the team can sustain after the engagement.
  • Support paid and earned media strategy and execution, including budget allocation guidance, testing and optimization support, strategy for younger audiences and electoral engagement, and proactive earned/traditional media strategy for the 2027 legislative session.
  • Establish a professional development plan for the internal Communications team, including structured training and working sessions, and provide documentation, playbooks, or frameworks for independent reuse.
