About The Position

The Digital Strategist drives engagement, audience growth, and online influence. This role combines creativity with analytics—developing digital plans that elevate visibility, drive measurable impact, and strengthen communities of followers. This role will also advise on audience targeting, paid media plans, and content distribution strategies. As the Digital Strategist, you will join a special project team working to support one client. The Pivot Group will serve as an incubator for this role, whereas Hummingbird Media will be the primary client. This is a full-time, temporary position through December 2026 with a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The nature of our business requires long hours, and we expect all staff to be flexible in this area. Weekend and evening work will be required. However, Pivot works to ensure all staff maintain a healthy work/life balance.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of practical, demonstrated, or project-based experience managing or consulting on digital campaigns, community management, or audience engagement.
  • Proven ability to grow and nurture online communities through organic campaign development that builds authentic engagement.
  • Demonstrated understanding of audience targeting and segmentation to reach specific communities and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics and reporting tools (Meta, Google, Sprout, etc.).

  • Curiosity for emerging trends and cultural shifts—with an eye toward understanding how public opinion and digital behaviors evolve over time.
  • Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital strategies that identify, target, engage, and grow key audiences across platforms.
  • Track performance metrics and optimize content based on analytics, trends, and audience behavior.
  • Synthesizing performance outcomes into actionable recommendations and insights.
  • Collaborate with creative and content teams to develop campaigns that balance reach and authenticity.
  • Identify new digital tools and trends that can enhance campaign performance.
  • Advise on influencer outreach and content distribution strategies.
  • Lead paid media planning—identifying target segments, recommending platform mix, and coordinating with media buyers or vendors to maximize ROI.
