About The Position

WTAP is seeking a Digital Sales Specialist to drive digital revenue growth by developing and selling results-focused marketing solutions for local and regional advertisers. This role is consultative and performance-minded - helping clients reach the right audiences across digital channels while delivering measurable outcomes.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, or performance marketing.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and consultative selling skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Grow digital revenue through new business development and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Build and present digital proposals (strategy, targeting, budget, flighting, KPIs).
  • Partner with WTAP sales leadership and Media Executives to identify opportunities to win business.
  • Support campaign execution: onboarding, creative/ asset coordination, pacing, optimization, and reporting.
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns to improve performance against goals (leads, site traffic, and conversations, etc.).
  • Educate clients and internal teams on digital products, best practices, and performance insights.
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecasting in the CRM and sales systems.
  • Stay current on industry changes (privacy, measurement, CTV/OTT trends, platform updates).
