About The Position

U.S. Legal Support is hiring Digital Reporters to create the official record of legal proceedings such as depositions and hearings. This role involves recording and managing the official audio record of legal proceedings using digital audio technology to ensure everything said during a proceeding is accurately captured, organized, and prepared for transcription. Digital Reporters play a critical role in the legal process by ensuring there is a reliable, accurate record of what occurs during legal proceedings, serving as the official source of truth.

Requirements

  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable working with computers, software, and audio equipment.
  • Minimum typing speed of 55+ WPM (typing test required).
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a State Notary Commission (assistance provided).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior legal industry or reporting experience.
  • Existing Notary Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Administering oaths and ensuring a clear, accurate record during depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Transporting, setting up, and operating computer and audio recording equipment for both in-person and remote proceedings.
  • Preparing audio files, exhibits, and related materials for transcription following each proceeding.
  • Performing administrative and support tasks when not assigned to legal proceedings.
