About The Position

U.S. Legal Support is hiring Digital Reporters to help create the official record of legal proceedings such as depositions and hearings. No prior experience is required—we provide structured training and certification support to set you up for long-term success. In simple terms, a Digital Reporter is responsible for recording and managing the official audio record of legal proceedings. You’ll use digital audio technology to ensure everything said during a proceeding is accurately captured, organized, and prepared for transcription.

Requirements

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with computers, software, and audio equipment
  • Minimum typing speed of 55+ WPM (typing test required)
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a State Notary Commission (assistance provided; existing Notary is a plus)
  • Training and certification provided prior to start date for AAERT Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Existing Notary is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings while administering oaths and ensuring a clear, accurate record.
  • Transport, set up, and operate computer and audio recording equipment for both in-person and remote proceedings.
  • Prepare audio files, exhibits, and related materials for transcription following each proceeding.
  • Perform administrative and support tasks when not assigned to legal proceedings.
