About The Position
U.S. Legal Support is hiring Digital Reporters to create the official record of legal proceedings such as depositions and hearings. No prior experience is required, as the company provides structured training and certification support for long-term success. This is a hybrid role requiring candidates to reside in Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens, New York, and work Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, involving work at client sites.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with computers, software, and audio equipment.
- Minimum typing speed of 55+ WPM (typing test required).
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a State Notary Commission (assistance provided).
- Valid state issued driver's license, reliable transportation and required automobile insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Existing Notary is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Administer oaths and participate in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings in office and professional settings.
- Transport, set up, and operate computer and audio equipment for in-person and remote proceedings.
- Prepare audio files, exhibits, and related materials for transcription.
- Perform administrative tasks when not assigned to legal proceedings.
