About The Position

Adjective & Co. is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and solutions-driven Freelance Digital Project Manager to support its digital and interactive workstreams. This role is suited for an individual who excels in a fast-paced agency setting and can effectively manage complex digital ecosystems. The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for day-to-day project management across various initiatives, responsible for driving timelines, aligning stakeholders, managing priorities, and ensuring efficient workflow among internal teams, external partners, and client stakeholders. While not responsible for creative development or execution, this role is crucial for ensuring that the right work is completed at the right time, by the right people, and in the right manner. The individual will be instrumental in maintaining momentum for both ongoing optimizations and larger strategic projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience in an agency, digital, or interactive environment.
  • Strong experience managing website projects and digital platforms.
  • Experience working across complex stakeholder groups and partner teams.
  • Strong understanding of website development processes and digital production workflows.
  • Familiarity with front-end and back-end web best practices.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and workflow systems.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and platform management.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proactive, not reactive.
  • Solves problems before they become problems.
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable managing moving targets.
  • Can confidently lead both clients and internal teams.
  • Knows how to push work forward without needing to own the creative.
  • Believes great work starts with great process.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with Airtable is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive ongoing initiatives, including digital product updates and enhancements, platform optimization and feature rollouts, content launches and resource uploads, user experience improvements, and event-related digital extensions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners and vendors.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Manage weekly status reports and project documentation.
  • Coordinate team workflows, priorities, and task management.
  • Manage schedules across internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead communication across internal account, strategy, and creative teams, development and web partners, and external vendors and platform partners.
  • Keep work on time and on budget.
  • Identify risks early and solve proactively.
  • Lead status meetings and project communication.
  • Ensure accountability across teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain momentum and remove roadblocks before they impact delivery.
