Ameren Services provides administrative support and services to Ameren Corporation and its operating companies, subsidiaries and affiliates. This role involves project management using leadership skills of SDLC/Waterfall methodology to direct staff and resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. The position is responsible for planning and managing resources to execute projects or project components from inception through implementation. Key responsibilities include independently defining and managing the scope and schedule of medium to large projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role also involves defining roles and responsibilities for various teams, developing requests for proposals, selecting firms, and reviewing vendor contracts. A deep understanding of the demand planning process for the PMO organization is required. The project manager will manage project budgets, review and approve invoices, develop project cash flows, and revise budgets and forecasts as needed. They will manage and ensure the quality of medium risk/impact projects using Waterfall project management methods, champion the Project Management Office (PMO) methodology, and participate in methodology refresh and enhancement opportunities. The role also includes facilitating team velocity, removing impediments, supporting the determination of project management methodologies, supporting Ameren’s change control process, influencing teams and stakeholders, managing stakeholder relationships, and coordinating project progress reports. Additionally, the role involves identifying change approaches, strategies, and plans, preparing for the impact of project changes, creating change management plans, and consulting with change leaders as needed. Coaching less experienced co-workers and providing feedback is also part of the role.
