About The Position

Chemille® is Celanese’s AI-powered digital assistant that helps customers, engineers, designers, and material specialists identify the right polymers and engineered materials based on application requirements, certifications, performance characteristics, and industry-specific needs. The platform delivers intelligent material recommendations, product information, technical resources, and direct access to Celanese experts. As Chemille evolves into a next-generation intelligent platform, we are seeking a Digital Product Owner to own the end-to-end product roadmap for Chemille’s AI-powered ecosystem while leading the vision, strategy, and delivery of AI capabilities that drive business value and user engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong Product Management fundamentals with a hand-on understanding of LLMs, AI agents, and workflow automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, ideally for a website or digital product
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI.
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements documentation
  • Comfort with usage analytics and KPI measurement
  • Excellent prioritization, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO), Figma, or similar tools to manage the software development lifecycle
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI and web technologies to enhance site usability and user satisfaction

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge or experience with Chemical or Material Engineering is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision, goals, and success metrics for Chemille
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year product roadmap, aligned with business priorities and user needs
  • Balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic direction
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements for development teams
  • Continuously groom and refine the backlog to keep it actionable and up to date
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, users, and the development team
  • Gather and synthesize input from stakeholders into product decisions
  • Manage expectations around scope, timelines, and trade-offs
  • Work collaboratively with Developers, UX/UI Designers, AI Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of business requirements
  • Participate in Sprint ceremonies and deliver User Stories within cycle time expectations
