The Digital Printer Operator plays a key role in the production process, ensuring high-quality prints are produced accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong eye for detail, technical proficiency with printing equipment and software, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining consistent output standards while supporting a collaborative team environment. Employment for this position is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening due to the operation of equipment.

Requirements

  • Exceptional accuracy and consistency when reviewing artwork and final prints.
  • Working knowledge of DTF printers, RIP software, and the printing process.
  • Comfortable using computers.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and identify/resolve common printer issues quickly.
  • Capable of handling multiple print jobs simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment with shifting priorities.
  • Analytical mindset for diagnosing and resolving technical or print-quality issues efficiently.
  • Works effectively with others and contributes to a positive, productive team dynamic.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with design programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate DTF printers.
  • Monitor print runs for accuracy, color consistency, and overall quality.
  • Review digital artwork and ensure files are properly formatted, color-matched, and print-ready using RIP software and other graphic tools.
  • Inspect prints for alignment, clarity, and color accuracy. Identify and correct errors to ensure every product meets company and client standards.
  • Conduct daily cleaning, perform regular maintenance, and handle basic troubleshooting to ensure printers operate at peak performance.
  • Load and manage transfer films, inks, and other materials. Track inventory and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishment.
  • Collaborate with designers, production staff, and finishing teams to ensure an efficient and coordinated workflow.
  • Document print settings, color profiles, and project details for future reference and quality consistency.
