About The Position

The Digital Print Shipper is responsible for preparing, sorting, labeling, and shipping Print-on-Demand (POD) orders using the company's shipping system. This role may also involve operating automated shrink-wrapping equipment. The position is for the 1st shift, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour work week. A shift premium is available for those who work the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 12:00 am).

Requirements

• Good organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Word applications
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Frequent kneeling, stooping
• Frequent turning, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and standing is required

Responsibilities

• Wrap, label, sort and secondary pack journal orders to customer and vendor requirements.
• Prep, sort and carton pack book orders according to customer and vendor requirements.
• Operate automated and manual shrink-wrapping equipment to production standards and quality.
• Accurately communicate to other co-workers the status of orders being processed.
• Analyze and interpret print-on-demand sheets as well as label ship codes to thoroughly understand the requirements of each customer order.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of shipping software and postal scales.
• Cross train to function as a backup on other digital equipment (e.g., trimmer, magnum).
• Complete all necessary paperwork, process and ship customer products in a timely fashion.
• Maintain accurate record keeping on TSP timesheets, excel spreadsheets and all related digital systems.
• Constantly monitor quality of finished product to ensure customer’s satisfaction.
• Operate hand jack, three-hole drill and assist in bindery/finishing areas as needed.
• Assist with housekeeping in the POD shipping area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
