The Digital Print Operator operates wide format inkjet and laser systems and inkjet sheetfed printers with a high level of proficiency to meet quality and quantity goals according to customer specifications and standard operating procedures. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining department machinery, interpreting job specifications, and ensuring the finished product meets customer requirements. The operator is responsible for performing make-readies/setups, maintaining accurate documentation, performing daily maintenance for color accuracy, and identifying root causes of productivity or quality issues. They also ensure proper job assembly and print positioning, assist with equipment troubleshooting, manage material supply, and facilitate smooth shift transitions. Additionally, the role includes replacing ink drums, re-webbing presses, ensuring color consistency, partnering with supervisors for equipment repair, maintaining a safe work area, and cross-training on all equipment. A key aspect of the role is training newer team members to enhance team flexibility and skills.
