About The Position

Our Digital Press Operator will perform tasks on digital printing and cutting equipment that contribute to production and customer delivery dates. This role is responsible for job set ups, paperwork, and verifying finished product meets all required specs. The work environment for this position requires regularly working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions may occur. Exposure to loud noise, dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles. The physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to lift, twist and carry up 50 - 75 pounds, manipulate (push and pull) up to 160 pounds of product with material handling equipment and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack. Walking/Standing - walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter. Sitting - sit only when driving sit-down material handling equipment. Lifting - lift items weighing a few ounces up to 150 pounds with assistance. Stooping - performed when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations. May bend at the waist. Kneeling - kneel when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
  • Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years related experience preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines and verify all paperwork and job details are accurate.
  • Work scheduled hours to hit customer delivery dates, overtime hours as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments, team members, and managers to insure we maintain Veritiv values while meeting our customer promises.
  • Make-ready and operate equipment to make sure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines.
  • Read and understand job tickets for info and verify finished product matches job specs.
  • Perform quality procedures according to SOP’s and ensure samples are pulled, tested, and labeled.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machine, making sure that all equipment is properly maintained with the team members as required.
  • Follow all safety policies and regulations, report any potential hazards, near misses, or accidents immediately.
