About The Position

The Digital Press Operator will be responsible for the efficient operation of a digital printing press and related finishing equipment. The essential functions include, but are not limited to, manipulating color calibration to meet client expectations, setting up supplies and equipment, supervising the printing press during operation, producing the required quantity of products within established specifications and tolerances, checking finished printed products for compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications, maintaining logs and records of units produced including errors, inspecting equipment prior to use for proper setup and alignment, performing basic and routine adjustments and maintenance, and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of related experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree OR completion of related apprenticeship program preferred.
• Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manipulate color calibration to meet the client's expectation.
• Set up supplies and equipment and supervise the printing press during each operation.
• Produces the required quantity of products within established specifications and tolerances.
• Checks finished printed products, ensuring compliance with function, quality and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced including records of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
