Under minimal supervision, responsible for producing accurate proofs or production files that reflect the expectations of the customer and follow the work instructions to transform final design files into final print production files. This role involves preflighting, analyzing, and assessing incoming art files, performing minor design functions, and producing print-ready art files for Flexo, Offset, and Digital printing. The operator will also create comprehensive digital approval files for customer review, process final approved art, and retrieve legacy art files. Additionally, the role requires generating TTB and high-res jpegs, ensuring sufficient 'Ready' work volume for presses, assessing job workloads, and collaborating with scheduling and production for efficiency. The operator will also develop, test, and implement new queues and workflows, maintain digital filing systems, troubleshoot press or operations issues, monitor consumables inventory, and participate in Design Review meetings. Accurate reporting of time and materials consumption, inspection of files and proofs for quality, and compliance with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations are also key responsibilities. Maintaining satisfactory attendance and timeliness is required.
