About The Position

This position is responsible for processing and preparing digital image files in support of Project Zikaron. This role ensures that all files meet established quality standards. The specialist produces archive-ready JPG files suitable for long-term preservation and access. Additionally, the position maintains accuracy and uniformity across all processed materials. This is a limited term position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of digitization experience.
• Knowledge of Hebrew and Yiddish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Performs OCR processing
• Prepares validated, text-indexed files for platform integration
• Develops ISAD(G)-compliant descriptive and structural metadata while standardizing authority fields and geographic references
