Digital Plant Manager
About The Position

We’re looking for a Digital Plant Manager who can do all of these things! This isn’t a “keep the trains running” management role. We need a leader who can build and steward high-performing scrum teams, drive operational excellence, own financial outcomes, and help shape the future of Vertech’s Digital Plant organization. You’ll lead self-organizing scrum teams delivering world class industrial automation and software solutions, while guiding strategic investments in internal development tools and accelerators that improve how we work and scale. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Deep expertise in Agile frameworks, Professional Scrum, and Professional Agile Leadership (PAL-E)
- 7+ years of experience in industrial automation and systems integration
- 3+ years of leadership experience with accountability for team success
- Strong understanding of software and industrial systems development methodologies including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and related practices
- Proven ability to lead technical teams while balancing customer satisfaction, delivery quality, and financial performance
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong business acumen including understanding of project financials, margins, utilization, and operational efficiency

Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing Professional Scrum teams capable of delivering world class customer outcomes
- Coach, mentor, and support team members through consistent feedback, career development, and leadership
- Ensure teams are staffed with the right people in the right roles while fostering Vertech’s culture and core values
- Own the financial performance and delivery outcomes of projects executed by your teams
- Serve as the primary escalation point for customers beyond the execution team
- Drive operational excellence using Professional Agile Leadership (PAL-E), Scrum principles, and Evidence Based Management (EBM)
- Govern and prioritize Digital Plant’s portfolio of internal software accelerators and development tools
- Partner with leadership to contribute to strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives
- Ensure investment initiatives are properly staffed, organized, funded, and aligned with company objectives
- Promote continuous improvement in delivery execution, technical excellence, and team collaboration
- Work closely with HR and leadership on hiring, onboarding, employee growth, and team performance
- Help create an environment where highly technical people genuinely enjoy coming to work
