About The Position

The Digital Payments Clerk is responsible for the processing, delivering, balancing, and problem-solving associated with digital payment services offered to the membership. This role requires adherence to all Shell FCU Service Commitments, Employee Creed, and Service Distinctions. The clerk must maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, and attend required annual training. Job duties must be performed in compliance with Shell FCU policies, procedures, philosophy, and standards. The position involves assisting with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and providing support within the department as needed. Specific duties include processing digital payment transactions, supporting ACH, outgoing and incoming wire transfers, providing digital banking support for department services, supporting deposit account charge-offs, transacting on membership accounts, and providing digital payments support via email, message programs, and phone to employees and members. The role also involves processing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.

Requirements

  • One to two years of similar or related experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • Welcoming and helpful demeanor.
  • Must possess professional verbal communication skills.
  • Possess the desire to accept additional responsibilities within branch operations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
  • Accuracy with numbers and attention to detail are needed.
  • Perform all work with established policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in an open-concept workspace/environment.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions
  • Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled
  • Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance to Shell FCU policies, procedures, philosophy, and standards of performance
  • Must take the initiative to assist with problem solving, troubleshooting and provide support in any area of the department as needed
  • Digital Payment Transaction dispute processing, in accordance with Regulation E
  • ACH Processing Support
  • Outgoing Domestic and International Wire Transfer Support
  • Incoming Domestic and International Wire Transfer Support
  • Digital banking support for department related services
  • Deposit Account Charge-Off Support
  • Transacting on Active and Inactive Membership Accounts
  • Provide Digital Payments support through E-mail, Message Programs, and Phone for CU employees and members
  • Processing Journal Entries and General Ledger Reconciling
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
